Trying To Get HDTV Broadcasts
From OPHITOXAEMIA:
I've got the equipment and get HDTV through my satellite, but only on 2 channels! So I'd like to get, say, the FOX broadcast in HDTV so i bought an antenna that goes on my dish.
In testing it, I can get the regular analog broadcasts.
My question is: How do I tune to the HDTV broadcasts? Changing the channel seems to loop the analog channels like any regular TV. How do I get to the HDTV channels...is this even how it works??

FROM THE MAILBOX
From Chris:
I have been trying to piece together a home theatre system. I have a KLH DVD, and a Technics SA-DX950 A/V decoder. Both support Dolby digital / DTS. I plugged a coax cable from the DVD to the reciever. what are the benefits of using the COAX. does It mean that I dont have to hookup the RCA jacks. I know that I need to use the yellow for the video. how do I know if I am digital or not?
From Your Guide:
The coax that you connect from the DVD player to the Receiver is for Audio only -- you still have to connect the video connections.
The benefit of using this connection for audio (or the digital opitical connection ) is for trnasmission of the 5.1 channel Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound signal from your DVD player to your receiver.

A Special Reminder: Although I update this site regularly, sometimes I miss broken links, this is especially a concern as old product listings expire and new ones have different link addresses. If you encounter any broken links in my articles or listings, just bring it to my attention so I can correct the address or delete it from the site if it has expired and can no longer be accessed.
Lastly, I would like your feedback on this Weekly Site Update Page. If you have any comments, either positve or negative, just let me know.
