FROM THE HOME THEATER FORUM
Sony 57" 16:9 Projection TV Arrived.....
From MOVIEBUFF30:
OK, for some time I have a had a fair home theater setup, Sony DD reciever, 5 JBL speakers, and an 12" Infinity powered sub. Except my Tv was a 27" Sony Trintron tube TV. Now I took the plunge and got a Sony KP-57WS500 57" 16:9 Projection TV! Now it's truelly like the movies in here! Plus I was able to go through componet video and a progressive scan dvd player now, even better. So what if I am going to be eating peanut butter and crackers all month, because of this TV. I just picked up more DVDs from Blockbuster!

FROM THE MAILBOX
From B:
I have an RF modulator but I have noticed that my picture quality is not as good when the modulator is connected. When it is disconnected the picture is fine. I have a brand new Toshiba 32" TV. The dvd player is a year old panasonic. I was told that I could connect the DVD player directly to the TV but I was never showed how.

From Your Guide:
The RF modulator should only be used it your TV does not have AV inputs to connect your DVD player. On the back of your DVD player there are several connections (AV out, S-Video, or Component) that can be used to connect the DVD player to your TV. If your TV also has all of these input options, use the component video connections, if not, use S-Video as your second choice and standard AV inputs as your third choice.
