FROM THE HOME THEATER FORUM
Last Gasp Of The Audio Cassette?
From CAAS:
...In my opinion...audio cassettes will still be here for quite some time. Even with CD burners around (which I have!) , cassette decks still outnumber them greatly. And when it comes to cost, speed and urgency of a recording, cassettes can't be beaten. And with the better technologies of today, cassettes today are sounding better than ever!

FROM THE MAILBOX
From H.N.:
I had movies recorded on Sony Digital8 Camcorder and I want to copy those movies from my Sony Digital8 Camcorder into my Hardrive or CD? Is it possible?

From Your Guide:
Your computer needs to have an iLink (Firewire, IEEE-1394) connection, card, and software. You will also need a DVD burner or CD burner. Your camcorder already has an iLink connection on it -- you will also need to get an iLink cable to connect it to your PC, provided you have an iLink connection on your PC -- if your PC does not have one -- you can purchase one for between $50 - $100 (depends on software package).

Your PC also needs to be running windows 98SE or higher, 128mb ram or higher, and at least 1GB of hard drive space for every ten minutes of video -- in other words, make sure you have about 20GB of hard drive space or more.

Lastly, I would like your feedback on this Weekly Site Update Page. If you have any comments, either positve or negative, just let me know.

A Special Reminder: Although I update this site regularly, sometimes I miss broken links, this is especially a concern as old product listings expire and new ones have different link addresses. If you encounter any broken links in my articles or listings, just bring it to my attention so I can correct the address or delete it from the site if it has expired and can no longer be accessed.
