FROM THE HOME THEATER FORUM
DVD Recorders
From CARAMELLOOO:
I've heard of DVD recorders that are capable of recording on both sides of the DVD. Does this mean you can record, for example, 4 hours on one side, then flip it over and record for another 4 hours on the other side? Sorry if this is a stupid question.....I've never used a DVD recorder OR player before.

FROM THE MAILBOX
From JJ:
I'm looking for a large hard drive DVR/PVR combined with a VCR. I subscribe to DISH TV if that makes any difference. Is there such a thing on the market? My wife likes to watch the HGTV shows and then wants to save just certain parts to send to the kids or save for future reference. I thought this would be a good way to go if not too expensive.
From Your Guide:
There are no VCR/PVR combo products -- however, there are DVD recorders with built-in Hard Drives and Pioneer will be introducing two DVD Recorder/PVR combos this year. However, if you already have a VCR -- you can copy what you record on the PVR by hooking it up to your VCR and making copies using the PVR's AV outputs and the VCR's AV inputs.
