PRODUCT OF THE WEEK
Mitsubishi WS-48313 48-Inch Projection TV
The WS-48313 has great features, such as Protective screen, S-Video and HD component inputs, and 3-D comb filter, a DVI-HDCP input, 64 point convergence, and 3:2 pulldown progressive scan. Very impressive for an entry-level projection TV. The set is HD-upgradable with addition of an HD tuner. This set is hard to beat for the price, considering its features.

Need Advice With Power Amp
From M:
I am the proud owner of a pair of Vienna Acoustic Bach tower speakers. However, my receiver, an Onkyo TX-DS676, is only supplying 110w per channel @ 6 ohms. From what I understand, these Vienna's are power hungry and I'd like to properly "feed" them. The recommended wattage is somewhere in the neighborhood of 200w, so it would appear they're being underpowered. It seems that my only course of action would be to purchase a seperate amplifier as receivers only go so high. I'm not opposed to buying a seperate amplifier, but I understand that can get rather pricey.
I want something with a decent THD @ 6 ohm. I don't want to spend more than $1000 if it can be helped. I'd like to get a 5 matched speaker setup eventually.
Any recommendations?

What about these EVD's that are coming out of China/Japan? ...They are suppose to put DVDs to shame China is suppose to be real big on this...any info?
From Your Guide:
EVDs where "invented" by the Chinese as and alternative to DVD and a way of not having to pay royalties and license fees to the Japanese and European owners of DVD patents that must be paid in order for companies to make "legal" DVD players. EVD is basically intended for the internal Chinese consumer market. There are no plans to make the system available to consumers outside of China (and, perhaps, other Asian countries).
With DVD firmly entrenched in the market, and Blu-RAY HD-DVD to become available within the next year to two years, EVD does not stand much of a chance in the larger World market - epsecially since manufacturers outside of China would be reluctant to pay the Chinese license fees after having been victim of several Chinese manufacturers not paying license fees to Japanese and European companies for making "unlicensed" DVD players.
