PRODUCT OF THE WEEK
Epson LCD Projection Televisions
Whether you choose the 47-inch LS47P1 or the 57-inch LS57P1, you are in for a real treat in home entertainment. Epson, long known for its printers and video projectors, has put their know-how into a line of slim-line LCD projection televisions. Both sets have 16x9 screens, 3-LCD chips for better color rendition, 1280x720 native pixel resolution, and the necessary analog and HD inputs. However these sets also include additional unique features, such as a built-in 6-1 digital camera memory card reader, CD Burner, and Color Printer. These additional features allow you to display, print, and burn your digital camera photos onto CD right in the television. These two Televisions are definitely worth checking out. FROM THE HOME THEATER FORUM
Camcorder Question
From GALAWORL:
I have a Panasonic Palmsight PV-L557 (16x optical zoom) camcorder and i wanted to know what accessories to purchase so I can use the camera while charging the battery? assuming this is possible. if I can't charge and use at the same time, then can I just purchase a cable to let me use it while connected to an outlet?

The battery charger I have takes FOREVER to fully recharge (i'm guessing maybe because its old).

FROM THE MAILBOX
From Ben:
What is your view on recorders using hard disk technology to hold data for viewing and/or later recording to disk such as Pioneer DVR5100?

From Your Guide:
The hard drive feature is very useful for temporarily storing your video, either from you camcorder, TV programs, or other video sources. You can record video either directly to DVD, or the hard drive. You can also do some basic editing before putting your video on DVD. However, you have to remember that the DVD recorder's hard drive is for recording video and audio only; you cannot use it to interface with a computer for storing other types of files.

Here is the complete Pioneer spec page for the 5100HS:

This unit is very similar to the DVDR-510H that is available here in the U.S., which has gotten good reviews.
