Panasonic DMR-E55S DVD Recorder
The Panasonic DMR-E55S DVD recorder is the latest in a trend towards less expensive (under $350) entry-level DVD recorders. However, despite its entry-level status, this DVD recorder offers wealth of features, including DVD-R and DVD-RAM format recording, progessive scan playback, two channel playback of DVD-Audio discs, CD-R and CD-MP3 playback, and both composite and S-video inputs. Unfortunately, with the advancement of new technologies, such as satellite radio, internet radio, digital radio, and high definition radio, AM stereo is pretty much in the back seat these days -- I am not aware of any current AV receivers equipped with AM stereo tuners, however, here is a link to the most comprehensive current resource on the state of AM Stereo and AM Stereo products that I know of:
