About.com Readers' Choice Awards 2012: Best Network Media Players and Media Streamers

As a result of increased convergence of the Internet, PC, and Home Theater, Network Media Players and Media Streamers have surfaced as important additions to the home theater experience. These products allow access the streaming/downloading of audio, video, and still image content directly from the internet, and some can also access media content stored on other network connected devices, such as PCs and media servers, that can be played on your TV or home theater system.

I received a lot of nominations for best network media player/media player, but have narrowed them down to five finalists for your consideration: Apple TV, Roku, Seagate, Sony, and Western Digital.

As a result, some great candidates didn't get quite enough nominations to make to the final five, including some other popular choices, such as Boxee Box and Popcorn Hour. Vote for your favorite from the following finalists, which are listed alphabetically in the poll form below.

Voting ends at 11:59pm on March 21st - Winners will be announced on March 30th.
