Accell UltraAV HDMI Connection Solutions

If you have components with HDMI connections, you have found that cables and additional accessories are very expensive. I recently tested several HDMI connection solutions from Accell Corporation.

Products tested included: HDMI cables (5 meters), HDMI cable/Repeater combo (45 meters), DVI/HDMI Adapter, HDMI/DVI Adapter, HDMI Signal Repeater, and 2 input/1 output compact HDMI switch.

All of the cables, adapters, repeaters, and switch were well constructed. All the cables fit well and were very flexible. In comparison with both budget and high-end cables, the Accell UltraAVs proved their worth in both signal strength, extreme flexibility, and fit.

I found that in all cases, but the cables and other solutions provided a good fit and performed as advertised. I also found the cable ends have a very good easy-to-grip design. I was also impressed with the flexibility of the cables.

In using tow of the 5 meter HDMI cables in combination with the HDMI signal repeaters, I noticed no visible change in the output signal quality between the DVD player or HD-DVD player and the televisions used.

The HDMI Switch was especially easy to use. It was both compact and included both a wireless remote and IR extender that made switching between two sources and the TV very easy.

Most surprising was the great performance of the 45 meter-length HDMI cable/Repeater Combo.

In conclusion, for home theater setups, I found that Accell's UltraAV HDMI connection solutions provided excellent performance at a lower price than many high-end cable brands.
