Here is where things get fun in setting up the Harmony One. Shown on this page is the Activities Setup page provided with the PC/MAC software. When setting up an activity, you tell the software what devices are to be included and then the software proceeds to ask you a series of questions, such as what device you control the volume with, what input on your TV do you want to designate for this activity, etc... After inputting all the needed information, the software remembers what you want to do.
At the conclusion of setting up your devices and activities, you then plug the Harmony One remote control to your PC via the provided USB cable and click on the "Update Remote" icon on the top right corner of the software. After a minute or so, all of the information you have inputted into the software is downloaded to the actual Harmony Remote and it is then ready for use.
Also, as a backup, all the information you have entered into the software is saved so that you always have access to it via your PC. If needed you can make any changes to the activities or devices and re-download those revisions to the Harmony One at any time.
