One thing to note is that if you have an HDTV tuner in your PC, the SageTV software and STX-HD100 is completely compatible and can display and record HDTV for display on an HDTV via the STX-HD100's HDMI output connection.
Final Take
The SageTV STX-HD100 HD Media Extender is a great way to integrate your home theater system and PC. The Media Extender is a set-top box that can connect directly to your TV, or through a video-enabled home theater receiver, and also to your PC and high-speed internet connection via its built-in ethernet port. Using the SageTV Media Extender and SageTV software on your PC, you can access and view a host of PC and internet content on your home theater system and TV. However, if you are a novice to PC networking, you may find initial setup and use non-intuitive and a little cumbersome.
NOTE: You must have Sage TV Media Center Ver.6 software installed on a PC (separate purchase).
