Starting on the left side of the photo is the HDMI output connection. HDMI allows access video signals up to 1080p resolution, if your network supports it. The HDMI output also allows access to audio.
Continuing to the right, there are more video and audio output connections. First is the Component Video output. This output consists of Red, Green, and Blue connectors. These connectors plug into the same type of connectors on a TV, Video Projector, or AV receiver. If you don't have an HDMI connection on your TV, this would be the next best option.
The yellow connection is the Composite, or standard analog video output. If you have an HDTV, the composite video connection is not required, or advisable, as it cannot pass progressive scan, upscaled, or high definition video.
To the right of the Component and Composite video outputs is the S-Video Output. Just as with the composite video output, it cannot pass progressive scan, upscaled, or high definition video.
Moving to the right of the S-Video output is a set of analog 2-channel stereo output connections (White and Red). Just to the right of the analog audio outputs is a Digital Optical audio connection. If you have a home theater receiver that does not have the ability to transfer digital audio via the HDMI connection, this is the next preferable connection to use in order access audio.
Lastly, on the far right, is the Ethernet connection. This allows you to connect the STX-HD100 directly to your network, or PC, to access audio, video, and still image content.
