1. Moving right there are connections for both a CD player and both Input and Record Output connections for a Tape Deck or CD Recorder.

2. Next are the analog audio connections that are associated with the analog video connections pictured on the previous page.

3. The next series of connections belong to the Multi-Channel Input. This allows direct analog audio connections between a DVD./Blu-ray Disc/HD-DVD player using the 6-channel analog audio connection option. In addition, this connection group can be used to access SACD and DVD-Audio content as well.

The AVR 147 does not have a dedicatd phono input. If you have a turntable and need to connect it to this receiver, you will have employ an additional Phono Preamp. You connect the phono preamp between the turnable and a free set of analog audio inputs on the receiver. Also, there are some turntables avaialable now with built-in phono preamps for such cases where a dedicated phono input is not avaiable on a receiver.
