Pictured here are the two infrared wireless remote controls provided with the RX-V2700. The larger of the two is main remote and duplicates most of the functions that are on the receiver itself.
The smaller remote is used for 2nd or 3rd Zone operation. There is a switch on the remote that allows you to use the same remote for either Zone. However, unlike the main remote, the functions are more limited.
Also, due to the fact that the smaller remote is an infrared remote, it cannot send command signals through walls. In order to use it in another room, you need to install a wireless remote repeater that can transmit the remote functions to the main RX-V2700 receiver.
