The Sony BDP-S350 is a 3rd generation Blu-ray Disc player from Sony. Originally priced at $399, if you look, you may find it much lower. This player offers true high-definition (720p, 1080i. 1080p) playback of Blu-ray discs, as well as up to 1080p upscaling via its HDMI outputs for standard DVD playback. The BDP-S350 can also play back standard audio CDs and CD-R/RWs.
The BDP-S350 complies with the Blu-ray Format 1.1 standard (BonusView), with built-in upgradability to Profile 2.0 (BD Live) via a firmware update, which is now available. For those that are Eco-conscious, the BDP-S350 offers several energy saving features, compared, such as: 21% lower power use during playback and 43% less power use in standby mode.
