Zenith DTT901 DTV Converter Box With Analog Pass-Through

The DTT901 has very easy-to-use onscreen setup menus and also offers decent digital-to-analog conversion image quality. A practical feature of this converter box is that is also offers analog pass-through. If you purchase and install it, you will still have access to TV stations that may not yet be broadcasting a digital signal. In addition, if there are any low-power television stations, or if you live in a rural area and rely on a "translator" station, that are still allowed to broadcast in analog after the June 12, 2009 final cut-off date, you will still be able receive those signals with the DTT901 converter box. The Zenith DTT901 is one of the better DTV converter boxes currently available, and definitely deserves your consideration.

Insignia NS-DXA1-APT DTV Converter Box

The Insignia NS-DXA1-APT Digital Converter Box receives and converts DTV/HDTV signals so they can be viewed on an analog TV.

One practical feature is analog pass-through. What this means, is that you will still have access to any TV stations that may not be broadcasting a digital signal. In addition, if there are any low-power television stations, or if you live in a rural area and rely on a "translator" station, that are still allowed to broadcast in analog after the June 2009 cut-off date, you will still be able receive those signals with the converter box.

The remote control, physical design, the menu system, and operation of the Insignia NS-DXA1-APT is very similar, if not identical, to the Zenith DTT901 DTV Converter Box.
