Screen grabs illustrating 480i/480p Deinterlacing/1080p Scaling of the DV-983H
The following tests were conducted with an OPPO Digital DV-983H Upscaling DVD player using the HDMI output connected directly to a Westinghouse LVM-37w3 37-inch LCD television with 1080p native resolution. The DVD player was set for 1080p output so that the test results reflected the video processing performance of the DV-983H. The test results are shown as measured by the Silicon Optix HQV DVD Benchmark Disc.

Screen grabs in this gallery were obtained using a Sony DSC-R1 Digital Still Camera.

For more details on how these tests are conducted and how to interpret the results, check ou the Silicon Optix HQV DVD Benchmark Test Scoring Document.
