Shown on this page is the main audio setup menu of the DV-983H. Some settings include whether you want the HDMI audio output on or off, automatic, and whether it will output audio as two-channel PCM or in bitstream form for decoding by a Home Theater Receiver.
In addition, another adjustment available in this menu is the type of equalization (Rock, Pop, Live, Dance, Techno, Classic, or Soft) or soundfield processing (Concert, Living Room, Hall, Bathroom, Cave, Arena, or Church) you wish the DVD player to activate. You also have the option to disable these settings and let your Home Theater Receiver perform these functions.
For more details on how these settings work, you can download the DV-983H User Manual.
