Here are the specifications for the Klipsch Synergy Sub10:
1. Frequency response 28Hz-120Hz +/- 3dB
2. Power handling (FTC Rating): 200 watts continuous, short-term peak capability - up to 420 Watts. The ampliifer used is a BASH digital type.
3. Crossover frequency continuously variable from 40Hz-120Hz.
4. The Subwoofer cone is 10-inches (25.4cm) in diameter.
5. The Sub10 is Phase Switchable at 0-180 degrees. This is used to match the in-out motion of the subwoofer speaker to the in-out motion of the rest of the speakers in a home theater system.
6. Enclosure type - Bass-reflex via rear-firing, 4.125-inch round port, down-firing main Driver.
7. Input connections - Two line level/RCA phono jacks and two sets of stereo high level speaker terminals.
8. Auto power on 2 second ON delay; 15 minute OFF delay.
9. Dimensions - 17-inches (43.2cm) H x 14.0-inches (35.6cm) W x 18.875-inches (47.9cm) D
10. Weight 37 lbs. (16.8kg)
Needless to say, the Sub10 is more than enough subwoofer for many home theater setups. One drawback, however, is that the Sub10 does not include a line output that would make connecting a second Subwoofer easier. If your AV receiver does not have two Sub outputs, then you would need to split your Sub output from the Receiver in order to feed two Subs - which is sometimes needed in a very large room for adequate deep bass coverage.
