Harman Kardon AVR-147 Home Theater Receiver - Front View with Accessories

Here is a front panel photo view of the AVR147 and its included accessories. Familiar items include the User manual and Quick Start Guide (Which are Full Color Illustrated), FM wire Antenna, AM Loop Antenna, and Wireless Remote Control. Two items you may not recognize are the Front Panel Audio/Video input covers on the bottom right of the photo, and Automatic Speaker System Setup (EZSet/EQ) Microphone above the Quick Start Guide.

The general features and specifications of the AVR-147 include the following:

1. 5.1 channel Home Theater Receiver delivering 40 Watts into each of 5 channels (All Channels Driven, .07% THD ).

2. Surround options: Dolby Prologic II, Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Virtual Speaker Processing, DTS 5.1, 96/24, Neo:6, and Harman Kardon Logic 7 Processing.

3. XM-Satellite Radio Connectivity (antenna and subscription required). AM/FM Tuner with 40 presets.

4. iPod Connectivity and Control via option iPod Docking Station (The Bridge).

5. Wireless remote control included. On-screen Menu display.

6. HDMI connectivity and switching.

7. One front mounted 1/4-inch Headphone output - Dolby Headphone Surround Compatible. NOTE: The Headphone output also doubles as the Microphone input when using the EZ-Set/EQ Automatic Sepaker Setup function.

Despite a modest 40WPC power output, the Harman Kardon AVR147 5.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver provides excellent sound performance in both stereo and surround sound modes. Also, with useful features, such as HDMI switching, iPod connectivity, XM Radio compatibility, and Automatic Speaker setup, the AVR-147 is a good fit for an entry-level home theater system.
