CES

By Robert Silva, About.com

Definition: CES stands for the Consumer Electronics Show. The annual CES is held in Las Vegas every January. What makes this event so important is that it where Consumer Electronics Manufacturers, Retailers, and Journalists gather every year to see not only what products will be available in the coming year, but to see prototypes of future products that are still in development.

The Annual CES attracts well over 100,000 attendees (not including press, special guests, and others). The Annual CES is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the largest trade organization for Consumer Electronics Manufacturers, Retailers, and others associated with that industry. For more information on CES, go to CESweb.org. For more on the Consumer Electronics Association, check out CE.org.
