Here is a front view of the GEORGE with its stereo speakers exposed. Each speaker features a Tweeter and Mid-range/Woofer. Chestnut Hill Sound did not provide any information on the wattage output of the digital amplifier used to power the speakers. However, I found that the GEORGE can easily fill a small or mid-sized room with adequate sound levels, and decent quality sound, whether using iPod or external audio sources, such as a CD or DVD player.
One thing that was lacking in the audio area, however, was that GEORGE does not have any Virtual Surround, or other type of stage-widening audio enhancement function. This would have made GEORGE a little more desirable for use as an effective 2.1 Channel "virtual surround" system, especially when connecting the audio from a DVD player, or even enhance the stereo sound image of iPod recordings.
