Pioneer was on hand at CEDIA 2007 with several new products, including the BDP-95FD Blu-ray Disc Player. Thsi player features full HDMI 1.3a compatibility with 1080p output, and has the ability to stream the new lossless audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, as well as the Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD lossy formats, via HDMI to be decoded by a receiver with built-in decoders for these formats. Also inluded is both 1080p/24 and 1080p/60 support.
In addition, the BDP-95FD also supports network connectivity via ethernet connection. This allows the player to accept audio and video streaming from a PC, as well as being able to download firmware upgrades directly.
The BDP-95FD will be available later this year, with an expected $1,000 price tag.
