The Sony BDP-S500 represent the middle of Sony's Blu-ray Disc player line-up. Features include: Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio bitstream output via HDMI, HDMI 1.3 video connectivity, and support for both 1080p/24 and 1080p/60 video output. The BDP-S500 can also play high resolution discs made on AVCHD format camcorders. The price for this Blu-ray Disc player is expected to be $700.
