TIVO was on hand at CEDIA 2008 to spotlight its new TIVO-HDXL unit. Priced at $599, this unit offers a lot of flexibility for recording SD and HD video.

First off, the TIVO-HDXL can work with analog or digital cable, as well as with an over-the-air antenna (and is DTV Transition ready). (NOTE: The TIVO-HDXL will not work with Satellite).

In addition, the consumer can record two HD channels at the same time, or an analog and HD channel.

The TIVO-HD can record up to 150-hours of HD programming on its built-in hard drive.

Recordings can be scheduled by time or title.

The TIVO-HDXL offers both analog and HDMI outputs, as well as digital and analog audio outputs.

The TIVO interface and service is very easy to use and provides a great alternative from VCR or DVD Recording.

The TIVO-HDXL can also be connected to your home PC-network for access to more video and audio content, including Amazon Video on Demand, Rhapsdody, Internet Radio and Podcasts, and share home videos with other TIVO owners.
