With HDMI becoming the default standard for high definition connections between source components and HDTVs, the need for various types of switchers and splitters is becoming more important. Pictured here is a new HDMI switcher/splitter from Accell that can feed one of four HDMI sources to up to eight HDMI equipped HDTVs, HD-monitors, and/or video projectors. Pictured here are both the front and rear panel views. Also visible is the compact wireless remote control.
This switcher also includes a signal booster to compensate for long HDMI cable runs, and an IR repeater cable that allows the switcher to be placed out of sight.
