As consumers desire more affordable home theater options, it is necessary that manufacturers deliver on this demand in order to stay competitive. With that in mind, Dream Vision, a popular maker of DLP video projectors, introduced its new affordable "Dreamy" at this year's CES.

At a price of $2,500, the "Dreamy" really delivers. Featuring the new 480p 16x9 DLP chip from Texas Instruments, this new unit offers a 2400:1 contrast ratio at 850 lumens with a 2,000 hour lamp life. Input options include composite, S-video, component, and DVI-HDCP. High definition sources are scaled to 854x480 resolution. For the entry-level consumer who desires a front projector, the "Dreamy" may be a great option, especially in an average sized room.
