However, large screen television above 50-inches in screen size have still been dominated by the traditional rear projection television.
That is beginning to change, as both lower production costs and technology advances have enabled manufacturers to build larger and larger flat panel Plasma and LCD televisions. One example of this trend was displayed by Sharp at this year's CES. Shown in the photo above are two Sharp 65-inch flat panels television, which are currently the world's largest in the LCD category.
