One of the big changes that has been occurring in home theater in just the past year or so is how we control all those components. With the introduction of the Android Phone, iPhone, iPad, and Android tablets,
apps have been developed that can turn these devices into sophisticated remote controls that are, in fact, very easy to use. Shown here is an example of a TV remote control interface on a Toshiba tablet.
In addition, several manufacturers, such as LG and Samsung also demonstrated remote control interfaces that can read physical gestures via a built-in TV camera, and also voice recognition. For those that find themselves yelling at their TV, but frustrated when you get no response back, may find things a little different in the future.
In fact, Haier was on hand even demonstration a remote control system prototype that responds to the viewers brainwaves.
