NEC NP4001 480i/480p Deinterlacing and 720p Scaling Conversion Test Results

Screen grabs were obtained using a Sony DSC-R1 Digital Still Camera.

Using an LG BH100 Blu-ray/HD-DVD/DVD combo player. I set the output resolution to 480i, and used the Component video outputs to the matching inputs on the NP4001. The NP4001 had to deinterlace the 480i input signal to 480p, and then upscale the deinterlaced signal to 720p for screen display. The following photos illustrate the quality of this process as performed by the NP4001, as measured by the Silicon Optix HQV DVD Benchmark Disc.
