The Panasonic TC-P50GT30 Plasma TV features 3D display and network media player capabilities. The 50-inch TC-P50GT30 also features a 1920x1080 (1080p) native pixel resolution, 600Hz Sub-field Drive, 4 HDMI inputs, and two USB ports, and SD card slot for accessing image files stored on flash drives and SD/SDHC memory cards. Here is a look at some aspects of the TC-P50GT30's 2D video performance.

The following tests were conducted with an Oppo DV-980H DVD Player connected directly to the TC-P50GT30. The DVD player was set for NTSC 480i rsolution and connected to the TC-P50GT30 via the composite video cable so that test results reflected the video processing performance of the TC-P50GT30, which upscales input signals to 1080p for display. The test results are shown as measured by the Silicon Optix (IDT) HQV DVD Benchmark Disc.

All tests were conducted using the TC-P50GT30's factory default settings.

Screen shots in this gallery were obtained using a Sony DSC-R1 Still Camera.
