The screen is a matte type, which means it does not have an extra layer of glass covering the entire surface. This makes the screen less susceptible to room glare.
Also, the front panel controls, which are not visible, are actually touch sensors located in the bottom right hand portion the set. The front panel controls that are provided include: Input Select, Menu access, Volume, and Channel. Also, the Volume and Channel sensors also function as menu navigation controls, if the Menu sensor is activated.
The remaining touch sensor is the Power On/Off control.
