Pictured in this gallery are the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 1080UB 480i/480p Deinterlacing and 1080p Scaling Conversion Test Results.
Screen grabs were obtained using a Sony DSC-R1 Digital Still Camera.
Using an LG BH100 Blu-ray/HD-DVD/DVD combo player. I set the output resolution to 480i, and used the Composite video ouput to the matching input on the 1080UB. The 1080UB had to deinterlace the 480i input signal to 480p, and then upscale the deinterlaced signal to 1080p for screen display. The following photos illustrate the quality of this process as performed by the 1080UB, as measured by the Silicon Optix HQV DVD Benchmark Disc.
