Starting at the top of the photo, on the left side is the power focus adjustment. The power zoom control, on the right side of the photo, is used to adjust the size of the image on the screen. When setting up the projector, the user goes back and forth with both focus and zoom controls to obtain the optimum size and focus of the image on the screen.
Another type of adjustment featured, below the focus and zoom controls, is the Horizontal and Vertical Lens Shift control. This control enables the user to position the image properly on the screen. In others words if the top of the image is above or below the top border on the screen, the vertical lens shift adjustement can move the lens into proper position without having to physically tilt the projector. In addition, the horizontal lens shift control moves the image back and forth so that the left and right edges of the image match the left and right edges of the physical screen. Think of the lens shift controls as a "framing" tool.
