What Do You Like About This Component? Only 100 Watts power consumption. The SDTV quality is amazing. DVD is phenomenal. If you get this TV, you will need to watch all of your old DVDs over again! It is worth it! And the Blu ray quality, you don't even need to speak about it. Games are mind blowing.
What Don't You Like About This Component? I wont be buying a new TV for at least the next 5 years! Also, the built-in sound system is not that good; you should connect the audio from the TV or other components to a home theater or stereo system. In addition, the installation of the TV's feet is a headache if you are alone. The TV is heavy and difficult for one person to attach to the provided stand.
Why Did You Choose This Component Over Other Models? I have owned the Samsung 40" LED 6000 Series for two weeks. I had to decide between the Sammy LED, the Sony KDL-40W5500 (LCD) and the Panasonic Viera TX-P42S10E (Plasma). My needs: I love to game on the PS3 (Killzone 2, FEAR 2, GT5) and I love to watch DVDs, Blu-rays and SDTV.
I read different tests before purchasing. The only negative points about LED technology that I have seen quoted was that it dims the light fast and bright spots are seen on the edges. Dark scenes are darker and bright scenes are brighter. It may sound crazy, but I don't see this at all, so it does not bother me! However, the Samsung is pricey. It is like everything in life. Quality has its price.

The Panasonic and Sony have better marks in picture quality which really means 0,2-0,3 points more from a total of 10 according to tests! Can a normal human see the difference? Although the Panasonic is cheaper it consumes around 295 Watts! Who needs that? Sony suffers from input lag (many gamers mentioned this!). Sammy is the best STUFF I've every seen!
Would You Buy This Component Again? Yes. It is like everything in life. Quality has its price. It s better to pay a good price for an equipment that you would use for a long period, than buying cheap stuff for a short period. It pays off at the end. If you cant afford it, save for a longer period and enjoy it! You will appreciate it.
