Starting on the top left is an HDMI input. This connection allows the connection of an HDMI or DVI source (such as an HD-Cable or HD-Satellite Box, DVD, Blu-ray, or HD-DVD Player). Sources DVI outputs can be connected to an HDMI input of the Epson MegaPlex MG-850HD via a DVI-HDMI adapter cable.
Just below the HDMI connection is a Microphone input. This is an interesting, but practical inclusion. The microphone can be used for Karaoke or would also be practical for use in a classroom or conference room for multimedia presentations.
Moving to the top of first column is a Composite Video input. This input is useful for analog standard definition audio sources, such VCRs and camcorders.
Just below the Composite Video input is a set of analog stereo (red, white) inputs. This is very rare on a video projector. The Epson MegaPlex MG-850HD has an onboard speaker that is handy for presentation use. However, if using the projector in a home theater setup - always connect your source component audio to an external sound system for best results.
Moving to the right is a set of Component (Red, Green, and Blue) Video inputs.
