Video output on Blu-ray is excellent and not surprising that test show it compares with units costing twice as much. N460 unit also upgrades video on standard DVD's, may not be Blu-ray , but it's far superior to std DVD. Audio is excellent. Built-in streaming when attached to Cat5 hard wired (NOT wireless, and it is using powerline connection from router to N460, Netgear 200mb unit works like direct wiring).
Only small difficulty for which one star was deducted as getting the N460 registered to use with Netflix is far more complicated than it should be. Call Netflix and their customer service can talk you through the process. Once Sony code is registered, and you take their code to Netflix connected,, the streaming of Netflix, Youtube, Crackle and many others using the remote is great video experience. One reviewer took issue with this unit not having an automatic eject from remote for the disc. WHY is this an issue? Beats me as you have to get up to change discs anyway,, and Sony doesn't advertise this feature and is giving the customer what it advertises.. Not a negative.
Have recommended to other friends who are also happy. PS: there is no built in memory (i.e. PS3) so a USB memory stick should be plugged into the rear.. (NOT a fat unit, as it won't fit).
