Although Panasonic has had a successful DVD recorder lineup for several years, their reliance on the DVD-R/DVD-RAM formats has limited their flexibility. Beginning with the 2005 model year, Panasonic has added more flexibility to its DVD recorder line by adding DVD+R and DVD-RW format recording. In addition, the DMR-ES30VS also includes a VCR, making it very easy to transfer those old VHS home videos to DVD. The 30VS also plays back MP3 and JPEG photo CDS.

I have been looking for this product “new”, but all I see are refurbished ones. This article is a little over a year old. Does that mean that Panasonic discontinued this model already?
