Despite the recent approval of 3D standards in relation to Blu-ray, which has given manufacturers the green light to market 3D-compatible televisions, there is still a lot of confusion regarding how 3D will affect cable/satellite, and over-the-air TV broadcasts. In an earlier report, I mentioned that many current Blu-ray Disc players may indeed be compatible with 3D, and DirecTV announced at CES that is proceeding with 3D program delivery via satellite, but now there is also some news about 3D and current HD-cable boxes.
