Western Digital has announced a new budget-priced additon to its WD TV line of media players, the WD TV Play.

Priced at $69, this diminutive unit (measuring about 4x4-inches square and only about 1 inch high) packs in a lot of features that can make it a great addition to your home theater system, or for that older TV in the bedroom or office.

Some of the features include both Ethernet and WiFi connectivity, 1080p resolution support via HDMI output, as well as a standard resolution composite video output (combined with analog audio outputs), and a USB connection for accessing content stored on USB flash drives and other compatible devices.

However, even if you have a lot of connectivity, being able to access content is what is really important, and the WD TV Play has a lot to offer there as well. Along with access to USB flash drive and PC and Network stored content, the WD TV Play can reach out to almost 30 streaming content services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Pandora, More

For control, you have the option of using the included remote control, or a compatible iOS or Android device.
