Question: What Qualifies as a 3D-enabled TV or Video Projector?
Answer: A 3D-enabled TV or Video projector is one that will work with any 3D-enabled source device that complies with the industry standards for 3D. On the technical side, 3D-enabled TVs and video projectors will all have the ability to receive two simultaneous video input signals encoded with a 24 or 60Hz frame rate in one of several 3D signal formats.

Currently, although the majority of TVs can now input one signal at a time with a 24 or 60Hz frame rate and a growing number of TVs can now internally generate frame/refresh/processing rates up to 240Hz, they do not have the ability to actually recognize or receive two simultaneous signals, each with a 24, 60, or 120Hz frame rate. Due to this fact, a TV that is specifically designed to conform to the new 3D signal input system is required.

All compliant TVs will have an official 3D logo of some type, such as the RealD logo used by Sony.

In addition, if you own a DLP rear projection television made from 2007 on by either Mitsubishi or Samsung, you may already own a 3D-enabled DLP TV. The only additional requirement is that you would have to purchase a breakout box and glasses that translate the incoming 3D signals to your TV and transmit the left/right eye image information to your 3D glasses correctly. Samsung and Mitsubishi should be posting more information on this on their websites, but you can also contact Samsung or Mitsubishi tech support for more details.
