Google TV is now available at Best Buy. The network media player/internet browser/cable-or-satellite box controller/open-source app platform is available built into some Sony televisions, built into a Sony Blu-ray Disc Player, or as a stand-alone unit from Logitech called "The Revue."
The Sony LCD TVs are available in 24-inch for $599.99, in 32-inch for $799.99, in 40-inch for $999.99, and in 46-inch for $1399.99. These TVs come with a QWERTY keyboard remote control with built-in mouse and controls for other devices. The keyboard/mouse/remote combination makes it easy to type in titles of shows you want to search, to type in addresses in the Google Chrome internet browser, and navigate for a full web experience.
The same remote control is available with the Sony "Internet TV Blu-ray Disc Player." This is simply a combo Google TV and Blu-ray Disc player and is listed at $399.99.
The Logitech Revue "companion box" uses a "keyboard controller." This is a full-size wireless keyboard with built-in touch-pad mouse, plus controls for other devices that include video controls. Once you have connected your Revue box to your cable box (using an HDMI cable) and to your TV, you can search the internet as well as all programming on your cable or satellite box. Logitech also released a "mini controller" and camera for video calling. The Logitech Revue runs $299.99.
