Shown on this page is a new Blu-ray disc player from Samsung, the BD-P4600, which is the first wall-mountable Blu-ray playback unit. As you can see, the player is shown here sitting on a table. The 4600 can be mounted right next to your wall-mounted flat panel LCD or Plasma television. The BD-P4600 is only 1 1/2 inches thick.
However, don't be fooled by the style emphasis of the BD-P4600, it is also a full-featured Blu-ray Disc player that meets Profile 2.0 (BD-Live) specifications and features full 1080p upscaling for standard DVDs, on-board decoding of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio, and two USB ports for BD-live memory expansion or attachment of an 802.11b/g/n/WiFi accessory. A standard Ethernet connection is also included. Also, if you are a subscriber to Netflix. and/or Pandora, you can use the BD-P4600 to stream movies and music directly from their service for viewing on your HDTV or listening on your home theater system.
