Hitachi was on hand at CES 2008 with a host of products, including LCD televisions that are only 1.5-inches thick, but the most interesting to me was the amount booth space and presentation time devoted to its new Blu-ray Disc camcorders, the DZBD7HA ($1,599) and DZ-BD70A ($1,499).
These camcorders record full 1080p high-definition video to a mini-Blu-ray disc. In addition, DZBD7HA also has a 30GB hard drive for supplemental recording space.
