The nomination period to determine the finalists in the home theater portion of the the 2011 About.com Readers' Choice Awards took place from January 13th through February 4th. I sifted through the nominations and selected the finalists in each of six categories, based on the number of nominations that each prospective finalist received. The final voting period then began at 12:01am EST, February 11th and ended on March 8th at 11:59pm EST.

Best TV Brand
Best Blu-ray Disc Player Brand
Best Home Theater Receiver Brand
Best Network Media Player Brand
Best Video Projector Brand
Keep in mind that the Readers' Choice Awards are not a scientific poll, just the expression of the readers of this site. Also, there is no monetary prize for the winners - just the bragging rights that come with getting recognized by the readers of a leading website owned by The New York Times Co.
